Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, has called on her colleagues in the film industry to embrace collaboration and support rather than envy. Speaking out on Instagram, she criticized actors who participate in movies but fail to assist with promotions, describing such behavior as unfair and disrespectful.

Okeowo highlighted that neglecting to support fellow creatives disregards the time, effort, and resources invested in film production. She also noted that some colleagues are unwilling to promote the work of others even when it comes at no personal cost.

Sharing her own experience, Omoborty said she has often promoted films she didn’t appear in, believing that uplifting peers is essential for Nollywood’s growth. She urged actors to view others’ achievements as inspiration, not competition, warning that jealousy only fosters division and slows industry progress.
