Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has sparked fresh political conversations online after openly backing former Abia State Governor and current senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, over his recent criticism of Governor Alex Otti.
The debate followed comments by Kalu, who accused the Abia State governor of lacking visible achievements in office. According to the former governor, the current administration has not embarked on any major infrastructural projects, claiming that the roads being showcased were originally constructed during his tenure and merely repainted by the present government.
Reacting to the remarks, Doris Ogala took to her Instagram page to defend Orji Uzor Kalu, whom she referred to as her boss. She insisted that his statements were factual and should not be dismissed.
In her words, Ogala stated that Governor Alex Otti did not build the roads currently being highlighted by his administration, maintaining that they were projects completed under Orji Uzor Kalu’s leadership.
Her comments quickly triggered mixed reactions across social media. While some users applauded her for speaking out and supporting Kalu’s claims, others criticised her for allegedly undermining the efforts of the current Abia State government.
The controversy continues to fuel online debates as supporters of both political figures exchange views on the state’s infrastructural development.
