Nollywood actress Lizzy Anjorin has finally addressed circulating reports claiming she was arrested over alleged defamation of character.

The reports, which went viral earlier this week, suggested that Lizzy was detained following a petition reportedly filed by fellow Nollywood stars Toyin Abraham, Iyabo Ojo, and Dayo Amusa. The news was amplified on Instagram by influencer Esabod, who stated that Lizzy had been remanded at Alagbon Police Station in Lagos and that her bail conditions would be reviewed on Monday.

In response to the speculation, Lizzy took to her Instagram page on Sunday evening to dismiss the claims, posting: “Believe Esabod and Iyabo Ojo at your own risk.”

The actress’s brief statement appears to put to rest rumours surrounding her alleged arrest, although her fans continue to follow the situation closely.
