Actress Yewande Adekoya Shares Heartbreaking 2013 Miscarriage Experience

Nigerian actress Yewande Adekoya has opened up about a miscarriage she suffered in 2013, describing how the experience strengthened her faith in God.

In a heartfelt Instagram video, Adekoya recounted being rushed to the hospital during her first pregnancy after experiencing severe bleeding. Doctors informed her that the baby had passed and that she would need an evacuation procedure.

“I knew I was losing the baby. They told me it would be very painful. I was devastated and cried through the night,” she said.

The fear of the medical procedure compounded her emotional pain, but Adekoya described a vivid dream in which a man dressed in white, resembling a doctor, guided her through the process. Remarkably, she later woke to find the miscarriage had completed naturally, without medical intervention.

“As soon as I stood in the bathroom, the baby passed on its own. The doctors confirmed that evacuation was no longer needed, and I was able to go home,” she recalled.

Reflecting on the experience, Adekoya said it deepened her spiritual conviction. “I cannot say there is no God because I have witnessed things that are far from ordinary,” she stated.
