In a bizarre incident that quickly went viral on social media, a 39-year-old e-rickshaw driver named Deepak walked into a hospital in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, carrying a 1.5-foot-long snake in his jacket pocket. Deepak reportedly sustained a snake bite on Monday and sought medical attention, including an anti-venom injection, at the hospital.

In the video circulating online, Deepak can be seen removing the snake from his jacket pocket when questioned by hospital staff, only to put it back inside shortly thereafter. He told the hospital officials that he had arrived approximately 30 minutes earlier and criticized the facility, claiming that it lacked proper resources to handle emergencies like his.
Hospital and Police Response
Chief Medical Superintendent Neeraj Agrawal stated that Deepak was instructed to leave the snake outside, as it posed a danger to other patients in the facility. Following this, the police were called, and the snake was safely rescued from Deepak’s possession. The hospital noted that the reptile is believed to have belonged to him.
Another Snake Sighting in Noida
Meanwhile, a separate incident in Sector 51, Noida caused panic when residents spotted a snake slithering inside a decorative ceiling light casing. Initially, the family suspected a wiring fault, but the movement of the reptile in the light’s glow revealed its presence. Forest department officials confirmed that the snake has not yet been recovered, leaving residents on edge.

Both incidents sparked widespread discussion on social media, highlighting the frequency of snake encounters in urban and semi-urban areas in North India during winter months. Experts advise residents to exercise caution, ensure safe containment, and immediately contact local forest department or animal control authorities in case of snake sightings or bites.
