A petrol-laden tanker, a motorcycle, and other properties worth millions of naira were destroyed in a fire at a petroleum station in Saki, Oyo State on Wednesday.

The Oyo State Fire Service Chairman, Hon. Maroof Akinwande, confirmed the incident, stating that the fire engulfed a DAF trailer tanker (Reg. No. AAB943YL, Abuja) carrying 50,000 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), one Bajaj motorcycle, and three fuel dispensers at the station.

According to Akinwande, thick smoke and intense flames made it challenging for emergency response teams, but efforts were immediately deployed to contain the blaze and prevent further destruction.
