Resurfaced Video Shows Gospel Singer Omije Ojumi Seeking Prayers Before Her Death

A resurfaced video circulating on social media has shown late Nigerian gospel singer Omije Ojumi seeking prayers during a church service months before her death.

Omije Ojumi, whose real name was Bunmi Adeoye Akinnanu, passed away after a prolonged illness linked to a leg ailment, a condition for which she had earlier publicly appealed for prayers and divine healing.

The video, which has now touched many hearts online, was recorded during a church service at G. F. David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State. In the footage, the gospel singer is seen seated with her affected leg stretched out while prayers were offered on her behalf.

During the service, a cleric revealed that Omije Ojumi had been experiencing persistent bleeding from the leg, prompting intense intercessory prayers from the congregation.

Her death came months after the video first circulated, during a period when she had openly sought spiritual support and encouragement from the public and the Christian community.

Since the video resurfaced following her passing, netizens have expressed deep sorrow, describing the moment as both painful and faith-affirming.
