A notorious Katsina bandit leader known as Jankare was killed by a rival gang during a violent dispute along the Dutsenma axis, according to security analyst Zagazola Makama.

The clash reportedly arose from disagreements over recent criminal operations and territorial control. Jankare, who had long terrorized local communities through kidnappings, attacks, and cattle rustling, was shot dead during the confrontation.

Known for flaunting weapons and mocking security forces on TikTok, Jankare had recently attended a meeting of bandit leaders in a bid to resolve internal disputes. Security operatives are now monitoring the region to prevent retaliatory attacks among rival gangs.
