Prolific actor Gene Hackman and his wife, pianist Betsy Arakawa, have passed away at the age of 95, according to Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza. The couple was found dead at their home in the Santa Fe Summit community on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. Hackman, a renowned figure in Hollywood, won an Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in The French Connection in 1972. He later received a second Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Unforgiven in 1993.
