The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially declared support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid for a second term in office ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement took place at a political gathering in Talata Mafara Local Government Area, led by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, representing Zamfara West. The motion was moved by Senator Sahabi Ya’u (Zamfara North) and seconded by Abdulmalik Zubairu, House of Representatives member for Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency.

In his address, Yari emphasized that APC in Zamfara and across Nigeria has no better candidate than Tinubu, highlighting the president’s achievements over the past two years.

The meeting, which focused on promoting party unity ahead of 2027, was attended by former deputy governors, serving and former lawmakers, commissioners, stakeholders, and party executives.

The declaration signals strong regional backing for Tinubu’s re-election campaign from a key northern state.
