Singer Aituaje Iruobe (Waje) has stated that she cannot date or marry a man who is unsuccessful or younger than her, citing these as deal-breakers in her search for a life partner.

Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, the mother of one emphasized that at her stage in life, she is not interested in starting from scratch or growing alongside a partner. Instead, she wants a man who leads by example, inspires her with his vision and achievements, and possesses faith and emotional intelligence.

On dating younger men, Waje explained that differences in maturity and dynamics would make such relationships challenging. Being pragmatic, she feels that she would end up treating a younger partner like a child, which could lead to resentment over time.

She concluded that for her, success, emotional intelligence, and shared values are essential qualities in a potential husband.
