Hip-hop legend Jeezy has officially made history. On November 1, 2025, Jay “Jeezy” Jenkins, 48, earned a Guinness World Record for the largest orchestra for a hip-hop concert, performing with an astonishing 101-member ensemble during the second show of his Las Vegas residency, TM:101 Live, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
“This isn’t just a win for me — it’s a moment for the culture, for music, and for Vegas,” Jeezy said in a press release shared with PEOPLE. “Thank you to every musician, every fan, and everyone who believed we could take this all the way. A winner is a dreamer who never gave up!”
The Record-Breaking Performance
Jeezy performed alongside the Color of Noize Orchestra, composed by Derrick Hodge and musically directed by Adam Blackstone. This historic performance not only set a record for hip-hop music but also became the largest orchestra ever to perform on a Las Vegas stage, regardless of genre.
During the ceremony, Guinness World Records adjudicator Andy Glass officially presented the award to Jeezy on stage. Joining the presentation were DJ Drama, DJ Ace, and musical director Adam Blackstone, marking a collaborative celebration of this unprecedented achievement.
On stage, Jeezy expressed gratitude to all involved: “Thank you to all 101 orchestra members, composer Derrick Hodge, musical director Adam Blackstone, DJ Drama, DJ Ace — and most importantly, the fans.”
Jeezy Celebrates on Social Media
Following the performance, Jeezy shared the moment on Instagram, posting a video of the presentation. He wrote:
“It is always been my purpose to motivate and inspire my culture. Thank you to everyone involved for believing in my vision. Couldn’t have done it without you. This one’s for the books…literally‼️”
He concluded his post with an inspirational note: “The purpose of life is the life of purpose ⛄.”
TM:101 Live Residency in Las Vegas
The record-breaking performance took place as part of Jeezy’s four-date Las Vegas residency, TM:101 Live, which commemorates the 20th anniversary of his landmark album, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation 101. The residency is split into two themed segments:

Each show features a mix of Jeezy’s classic hits, new material, and groundbreaking collaborations with live musicians, offering fans a fully immersive concert experience.

Jeezy’s Guinness World Record represents more than a personal achievement. By combining hip-hop with a full orchestra, he demonstrates the versatility and cultural impact of the genre, bridging classical instrumentation with contemporary rap.
“This performance is a testament to the evolution of hip-hop music,” noted a spokesperson from Guinness World Records. “Jeezy’s collaboration with the Color of Noize Orchestra sets a new benchmark for live performances worldwide.”
