Tinubu Receives Catholic Archbishop Kaigama at Aso Rock

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received the Catholic Archbishop of Abuja, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The meeting comes amid global attention following allegations by U.S. President Donald Trump, who recently accused Nigeria of allowing the killing of Christians and designated the country a “Country of Particular Concern (CPC)”. Trump also warned of a possible U.S. military intervention if the alleged attacks persisted.

The reports say that the genocide claims have generated widespread debate, with the Federal Government strongly denying the allegations and emphasizing that Christians and Muslims coexist peacefully across the country.

As of the time of filing this report, details of Archbishop Kaigama’s discussions with President Tinubu have not been made public, and the Presidency has yet to issue an official statement on the visit.
