The 2025 Almond Insurance Industry Awards, an annual event celebrating excellence in Nigeria’s insurance sector, is scheduled for Friday, November 7, at the Stable Event Centre, Bode Thomas, Surulere, Lagos. Tagged the #Recharged Edition, the awards aim to unite industry stakeholders, policymakers, insurance clients, entertainers, and the general public.

The awards will recognize individuals and organizations across nine categories, spanning different segments of the insurance ecosystem.

Speaking on preparations, Ms. Faith Ughwode, CEO of Almond Productions Limited, revealed that top comedians including Creative Toby, MC Taichi, and MC Obinna will perform, while Slimcase will headline the musical segment. The show host for this year is Nollywood legend Segun Arinze.

“The Nigerian insurance industry has long faced mistrust and skepticism from the public. Initiatives like this awards ceremony, which blend industry recognition with pop culture entertainment, are helping to shift narratives and attract young people as core customers of insurance companies in Nigeria,” Ughwode said.

The event will also feature guest presenters and dignitaries from across various sectors, including Former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi, Mrs. Rollence McCoy, President of WimAfrica, and VME Emmanuel Evue, Chairman of Emalsson Ent. Ltd.
