Regina Daniels Begs Nigerians to Stop Attacking Her Mother Over Marital Decisions

Actress Regina Daniels has called on Nigerians to stop directing online insults and abuse toward her mother, Rita Daniels, in relation to her ongoing marital crisis.

In an emotional Instagram video shared on Wednesday, Regina addressed her followers, expressing her hurt over the way her mother has been dragged into public criticism over decisions she made as a young adult.

Regina stressed that her mother bears no responsibility for her personal choices and should not be subjected to blame or harassment. She described Rita as “the best thing that ever happened” to her, highlighting her mother’s strength and support over the years.

“My mother held it down for seven good years. She tried. She warned me, my brothers warned me. I’m so ashamed to say I fell in love,” Regina said. “Please, I am begging everyone, stop insulting my mother. Na me carry my two legs enter.”

Clarifying that her marriage was a conscious and independent decision, Regina revealed she even went as far as visiting a police station to report family members who attempted to block her union.

While acknowledging that public scrutiny comes with fame, she insisted there should be limits, especially when it concerns innocent family members enduring emotional distress. With her brother still missing and her family under immense strain, Regina appealed for empathy, understanding, and respect.
