Sean “Diddy” Combs spent his 56th birthday at the Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix in New Jersey, serving a 50-month sentence for sex crimes.

Combs, 56, celebrated his birthday on Tuesday, November 4, with the same prison menu offered to all inmates, PEOPLE reports. Breakfast included fruit, bran flakes or breakfast cake, whole wheat bread, jelly packets, skim milk, margarine, and sugar substitutes. Lunch featured chicken parmesan or a chickpea burger, with pasta, marinara sauce, spinach, garlic or whole wheat bread, and fruit or dessert.

Dinner, served around 4:30 p.m., was particularly humble for the music mogul. Inmates could choose between cheese pizza or navy beans, accompanied by Italian pasta salad, green beans, and a garden salad with assorted dressings.

The commissary offered small treats, including cheesecake squares, honey buns, Pop-Tarts, and cookies, but notably lacked applesauce, a favorite of Combs reportedly used on his cheeseburgers.

Prison Transfer and Sentence

Combs was transferred to FCI Fort Dix on October 30, 2025, moving from the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after concerns about conditions there and to access drug rehabilitation programs. The correctional center, located on a military base roughly 40 miles outside Philadelphia, houses Combs in a dormitory-style cell with other inmates.

In October 2025, Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison by U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His expected release date, according to the Bureau of Prisons website, is May 8, 2028, though early release for good behavior is possible.

Combs’ attorney, Alexandra Shapiro, filed a two-page court document on October 20 to appeal his conviction. An expedited appeal was granted on November 3 by U.S. Circuit Court Judge Beth Robinson, with oral arguments scheduled for April 2026.
