Trisha Paytas Joins the Cast of Beetlejuice on Broadway

Paytas takes over the role of Maxine from Sharone Sayegh while Sayegh continues to perform as Juno. The beloved musical adaptation of Tim Burton’s 1988 cult classic recently returned to Broadway for its third run, following an earlier run at the Winter Garden Theatre in 2019 and a stint at the Marquis Theatre in 2022-2023.

The current cast features:

  • Justin Collette as Beetlejuice
  • Isabella Esler as Lydia Deetz
  • Megan McGinnis as Barbara
  • Will Burton as Adam
  • Jesse Sharp as Charles
  • Jenni Barber as Delia

Featured roles include Travis Mitchell as Maxie Dean, Vanessa Aurora Sierra as Miss Argentina, Patrick Oliver Jones as Otho, and Emilia Tagliani as Girl Scout, with Madison Mosley performing Lydia in select shows.

Directed by Tony Award winner Alex Timbers, with music by Eddie Perfect and a book by Scott Brown and Anthony King, the production is known for its jaw-dropping stage illusions, catchy score, and campy humor, which have made it a viral hit on TikTok and YouTube.

Paytas’ First Broadway Role: A Dream Come True

Before joining the Broadway cast, Paytas had long shared her dream of performing in a musical, even staging a one-night benefit concert earlier this year. Fans turned out in droves to greet her during her debut, giving her 30-second standing ovation upon her entrance and continuing to cheer at curtain call and stage door appearances.

“This cast of Beetlejuice is something special,” Paytas wrote on Instagram. “Talent is unmatched. I’m lucky to get to be a fan backstage every night and listen to their brilliance. Soaking it all in. They’ve been nothing but supportive and kind and wonderful. Truly crying rn.”

With more than 20 million YouTube fans and 2 billion views, Paytas has brought her online star power to Broadway, drawing new audiences to the hit musical.
