Kevin Akpoguma has urged his Hoffenheim teammates to stay focused as they prepare for their UEFA Europa League clash against Tottenham Hotspur.
The Bundesliga side will host Spurs at the PreZero Arena on Thursday (today) in a crucial matchday seven encounter.
Hoffenheim ended their 11-match winless streak with a 3-1 victory over Holstein Kiel last weekend, and Akpoguma is determined to carry that momentum into the game against their Premier League opponents.
“We’re really looking forward to the match. There’s a lot at stake, and we’ll give everything to make it a success,” said the centre-back, according to the club’s official website.
“Regardless of where we stand in the league, we want to prove that we are a strong team. The win in Kiel has brought positive energy to the squad, and we aim to carry that forward. I’m really excited for the game—it’s a big challenge for us. But this isn’t just a bonus match; it’s a crucial game, and we have big plans for it.”
