Abia Warriors’ technical adviser, Imama Amapakabo, has voiced his disappointment with the way his team was defeated by Rivers United.
The Umuahia-based side lost 1-0 to Rivers United at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday, with Ndifreke Effiong scoring the winning goal from the penalty spot.
Amapakabo questioned the officiating, suggesting that Rivers United were granted an unfair advantage during the match.
“There were numerous incorrect calls that need to be reviewed for the betterment of the league,” Amapakabo said in a post-match interview. “The game is over, but there are valuable lessons to be learned.”
