Arteta confirms that two key Arsenal players will miss the match against Newcastle.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has announced that two of his key players, Martin Ødegaard and Riccardo Calafiori, will be unavailable for the Premier League match against Newcastle United this Saturday due to injuries. Both players are currently in the process of recovery.

During his pre-match press conference on Friday, Arteta provided an update on the situation regarding defender Ben White as well. He confirmed, “Riccardo and Martin are out definitely.” Regarding White, Arteta noted, “We don’t know yet. He hasn’t trained yet. He could not train; he could not get involved, so let’s wait and see if he’s available. This is related more to a joint issue.”

As it stands, Arsenal is positioned third in the Premier League table, trailing behind Liverpool and Manchester City. The absence of Ødegaard and Calafiori may impact the team’s performance as they aim to secure a vital win against Newcastle.
