Bill Maher’s ‘Mind Was Blown’ After White House Meal with Donald Trump

Comedian Bill Maher’s perspective on President Donald Trump dramatically changed after a White House meeting, leaving him “mind-blown,” according to Kid Rock.

The MAGA musician, who played a key role in arranging the sit-down, shared the details of the surprising encounter on Fox & Friends Tuesday morning. Alongside Maher and UFC CEO Dana White, Kid Rock was invited to Washington, D.C., where the group broke bread with Trump.

During the interview, Kid Rock explained how the dinner left a lasting impression on Maher. “Trump is the type of person you really need to meet to understand,” Kid Rock said. “Me and Dana agreed that no one who meets the president walks away thinking anything other than ‘wow, what a great guy.’ He’s so funny, engaging, and smart. Bill even told me afterward, ‘Wow, that was…’ Everyone was blown away, even the president himself.”

Kid Rock also revealed that Trump had some reservations before the meeting. “The president called me late last night. Everyone was a little unsure going into this,” he recalled. “Even Trump asked, ‘What have you got me doing?’”

The meeting’s goal was to demonstrate that, despite past tensions, face-to-face conversations could foster more civility in the country. “That was my whole intention,” Kid Rock explained. “We’ve been hard on each other, but if we can meet and talk, maybe we can bring people together.”

Maher, who had never visited the White House before, was treated to a tour, which included a visit to the Gettysburg Address in the Lincoln Bedroom. The group also discussed shared concerns, such as their disdain for “wokeness.”

“Trump extended the olive branch and we discussed things in common, like ending wokeness and securing the border,” Kid Rock continued. “He even asked Maher’s thoughts on Iran and Israel. It was a meaningful conversation that left me proud.”

The meeting occurred amid Trump’s remarks on Truth Social, where he noted Maher’s past criticisms. While Maher jokingly said he wouldn’t be “leaving in a MAGA hat,” it seems the two have found some common ground.

Though Trump and Maher have yet to publicly comment on the meeting, Kid Rock mentioned that photos from the gathering will be released soon.
