Blake Lively’s Lawyers Accuse Justin Baldoni’s Team of Abusing Legal Process Over Taylor Swift Pressure Allegations

Blake Lively’s legal team has strongly responded to Justin Baldoni’s lawyers’ claims that the actress pressured Taylor Swift to publicly support her amid the ongoing Blake Lively Justin Baldoni legal dispute. In a letter filed with U.S. District Court Judge Lewis J. Liman on May 14, 2025, Lively’s attorneys asked the court to strike Baldoni’s earlier letter that cited an anonymous source making these allegations.

Lively’s lawyers called the accusations “unequivocally and demonstrably false,” emphasizing that Baldoni’s legal team provided no evidence or sworn testimony to support their claims. “The letter falsely accuses Ms. Lively and her counsel of ‘witness tampering and evidence spoliation’ based solely on an undisclosed anonymous source,” the letter states.

The Blake Lively lawyers respond accused Baldoni’s team of abusing the court’s docket to publicize scandalous and defamatory allegations against Lively without merit. They criticized the move as an attempt to turn the legal battle into tabloid fodder, calling the baseless claims “recklessly leveled” without supporting evidence.

This legal clash arises amid the highly publicized Blake Lively Taylor Swift lawsuit saga. Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, alleged that Lively threatened to leak private text messages with Swift if the singer refused to support her publicly. However, there is no evidence yet to back these claims, and a subpoena has been issued seeking such communications for use in the case.

Taylor Swift’s spokesperson has firmly distanced the singer from the dispute, clarifying that Swift was not involved in the It Ends With Us film production beyond licensing a single song. The spokesperson emphasized that Swift had no creative input and was touring globally during the relevant period.

The Justin Baldoni legal dispute began when Blake Lively sued Baldoni in December 2024, accusing him of sexual harassment and retaliation during the making of It Ends With Us. Baldoni denied the allegations and countersued for defamation and extortion, implicating Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and their PR team.

As the Blake Lively Justin Baldoni case continues, both parties prepare for a trial scheduled for March 2026. Meanwhile, Lively’s legal team remains firm in denying all accusations related to pressuring Taylor Swift or threatening to leak private communications.
