Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has made a groundbreaking achievement in the music industry, becoming the first African artist to receive Grammy nominations for six consecutive years.

Since 2018, the “African Giant” crooner has been consistently nominated for the prestigious awards, an extraordinary accomplishment for an artist from Africa. To date, Burna Boy has accumulated a total of 11 Grammy nominations, with one win to his name.

This year, Burna Boy’s hit song “Higher” is nominated in the Best African Music Performance category, further cementing his place as a dominant force in global music.

In a notable achievement for Nigerian artists, Tems has emerged as the Nigerian artist with the most nominations at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards. The talented singer has been nominated in three categories: Best Global Music Album, Best African Music Performance, and Best R&B Song. Her songs “Born In The Wild,” “Love Me Jeje,” and “Burning” earned her these nominations, bringing her total Grammy nominations to eight.
