As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has been closely evaluating top prospects, including Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders. The highly touted quarterback, and son of NFL legend Deion Sanders, is a key figure in the Browns’ draft discussions.
During the NFL Owners Meeting this week, Stefanski highlighted his admiration for Sanders both on and off the field. “He’s a very talented young man, but it’s off the field where I’m most impressed,” said Stefanski. “When you talk to him about plays, you see how well he understands the game.”
Sanders wrapped up his collegiate career with impressive stats, including an NCAA record for completion percentage at 70.1%. Over his career, he threw for 4,134 yards, 37 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Despite potential concerns from fans about the pick, Sanders’ high football IQ and potential under Stefanski’s coaching could make a significant impact for the Browns.
In addition to Sanders, Cleveland is also considering other standout players for the 2025 NFL Draft, including Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter and Sanders’ teammate, Heisman winner Travis Hunter. The Browns’ final selection will be revealed on April 24 during the NFL Draft.
