Former Chelsea defender David Luiz has praised Cole Palmer for his impressive performances with the Blues. Luiz described the England international as both intelligent and world-class.
Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City in the summer of 2023, has made a strong impact since arriving. After a standout first season, he was named PFA Fans’ Player of the Year and Premier League Young Player of the Year.
The 22-year-old continues to shine this season, with 14 goals and six assists for Enzo Maresca’s side.
“Cole, like Eden [Hazard], is on another level; he’s a world-class player,” Luiz told The Sun. “He made a tough decision leaving Man City, but it was the right choice. Now everyone can see the incredible talent he has.
“I love watching him play. He’s smart, and intelligent players are hard to defend against. He would have fit into my Chelsea teams from 2012 and 2017 — world-class players always have a place.”
