A Deputy Superintendent of Corrections, Innocent Ogbu, along with 15 other individuals, has been abducted while en route to Enugu for a development course.

Ogbu, who serves as the unit commander of the Armed Squad at the Medium-Security Custodial Centre in Minna, Niger State, was taken on Saturday, November 23, 2024, along the Lokoja-Enugu road.

Rabiu Mohammed, the public relations officer for the command, confirmed the incident, stating that Ogbu was abducted alongside 15 other passengers traveling in an 18-seater commercial bus.

The authorities, including the police and DSS, have been notified of the incident, Mohammed added.
