On May 11, 2025, Jessie and D’Lila Combs, twin daughters of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the late Kim Porter, honored their mother with a deeply emotional tribute on Mother’s Day. Nearly seven years after Kim’s sudden death in 2018, the sisters took to their joint Instagram account to reflect on the loss of their beloved mom.
Heartfelt Mother’s Day Message from Jessie and D’Lila
“Mommy, you were the best mommy anyone could’ve ever had, and we are so blessed that God chose you to be our mommy,” Jessie and D’Lila wrote in the touching post. The twins, both 18, continued, “We miss you so very much every single day, and we wish you could be here with us today. These last couple of years have been sooooo extremely difficult without you by our side.”
As they grow into adulthood, Jessie and D’Lila expressed their desire for their mother to witness their transformation. “We really wish you were here for these years that we begin to grow and start to mature into young ladies,” they wrote. “We are going to follow in your footsteps and always make you proud.”
The twins also included a heartfelt wish, saying, “I hope you are up there celebrating this beautiful day with your mommy and grandma. We miss you all so much!!!”
Quincy and Christian Combs Also Honor Kim Porter
Jessie and D’Lila weren’t the only ones in the Combs family reflecting on Kim Porter’s legacy. Their older brother Quincy Brown, 33, also shared a tribute to their mother on his Instagram, writing, “I feel you more than ever today. Your love lives in every choice I make and every challenge I face. Living life carrying your strength, your spirit, and your light has allowed me to complete each day with a happy heart. I hope I’m making you proud.”
Christian “King” Combs, 26, echoed his siblings’ sentiments. In his Instagram post, he expressed his gratitude for Kim’s love and guidance: “I love you, wish I could hug you, kiss you and just talk to you. I know you are with me still watching over every step I take and every choice I make. I love you, mommy!!!!”
Combs Family’s Support Amid Legal Struggles
The Mother’s Day tributes came just one day before Diddy’s high-profile trial began in New York City on May 12, 2025. The music mogul faces serious charges, including sex trafficking, prostitution, and racketeering conspiracy, which he has pleaded not guilty to.
Despite the legal troubles surrounding their father, Diddy’s children, including his and ex Misa Hylton’s son Justin Combs, 30, and his and ex Sarah Chapman’s daughter Chance Combs, 19, have remained unwavering in their support.
In an October 2023 post on Quincy’s Instagram, the Combs children stood united in the face of the allegations. “Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiraled into absurdity on social media,” they wrote. “We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family. WE MISS YOU & LOVE YOU DAD.”
Kim Porter’s Legacy Lives On
Kim Porter’s sudden death left a void in the lives of her children and family. She was 47 when she passed away in 2018 from lobar pneumonia. Throughout her life, she was a central figure in the Combs family, particularly in raising her children with Diddy, whom she co-parented with after their 2007 split.
As the Combs family continues to honor Kim Porter’s memory, the siblings also remain united in the face of adversity. With Diddy’s trial looming large, the love and support from his children continue to be a guiding force for the family.
