President Donald Trump has once again sparked headlines by reigniting his ongoing feud with global pop icon Taylor Swift. In a provocative post on Truth Social, Trump claimed Swift’s popularity has declined since he publicly declared, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT” last September.
“Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?’” Trump wrote, fueling the long-running Donald Trump Taylor Swift feud. This latest jab comes as Trump concludes a historic tour of the Middle East.
Swift and the White House have not responded to requests for comment.
The feud between Trump and Swift dates back to last year when Swift endorsed Joe Biden’s running mate, Kamala Harris, in the 2024 presidential election — a move that triggered sharp backlash from the former president.
Trump recently targeted Swift again during the White House celebration for the Philadelphia Eagles’ Super Bowl victory in April 2025. “I watched in person. I was there along with Taylor Swift. How did that work out?” Trump quipped during the event, alluding to her Super Bowl LIX appearance, which was met with boos from the crowd.
Taylor Swift’s public endorsement of Harris in September 2024 marked the beginning of Trump’s vocal opposition. Following the endorsement, Trump posted on Truth Social, “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!” sparking a wave of media attention.
At Super Bowl LIX, Swift faced a harsh crowd reaction, contrasting sharply with the enthusiastic cheers Trump received while shown on the jumbotron during the national anthem.
Additionally, Trump took a pointed dig at Swift after her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, suffered a 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFL wild-card playoff game earlier this year.
“The only one that had a tougher night than the Kansas City Chiefs was Taylor Swift. She got BOOED out of the Stadium. MAGA is very unforgiving!” Trump wrote, further stoking the ongoing celebrity political clash.
This feud highlights the persistent intersection of politics and pop culture, as well as the polarized responses public figures face when entering the political arena.
