Nottingham Forest forward Taiwo Awoniyi has dismissed rumors suggesting he may leave the club, insisting he is focused on helping the team succeed.
Awoniyi, 27, has found himself limited to just one Premier League start this season due to the strong form of Chris Wood. Despite reports linking him with a potential exit before the winter transfer window closes, Awoniyi has made it clear he is not contemplating a move.
“Transfers are part of football, and speculation is always there, but my focus is entirely on Nottingham Forest,” he stated on the club’s official website. “This is a team with a lot of potential, and I want to stay here and help achieve something special. I’m not thinking about leaving; I’m focused on contributing more to the club’s success.”
So far this season, Awoniyi has scored once in 17 league appearances for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
