Fanuc Withholds FY2025/26 Forecast Citing U.S. Tariff Uncertainty and Global Economic Concerns

April 23, 2025 – Japan’s leading robotics manufacturer, Fanuc Corp, announced it is unable to issue a financial forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2026 due to ongoing uncertainties surrounding U.S. tariffs and their potential global economic impact.

In its annual earnings report, Fanuc stated, “Due to numerous uncertain factors, including the effect of U.S. tariffs on international trade and global market dynamics, we are currently unable to provide a reliable FY2025/26 forecast.”

The company emphasized its intention to monitor the evolving economic conditions closely. “We will carefully evaluate the impact of tariff policies and other external variables, and promptly disclose our financial outlook once a reasonable assessment becomes possible,” the company added.

As a major player in the global manufacturing robotics sector, Fanuc’s decision not to publish its FY2025/26 forecast underscores broader concerns about trade tensions and their influence on supply chains and industrial investment.
