Cristina Serra, wife of Pep Guardiola, has spoken out for the first time since reports of their marital struggles surfaced. Despite the news, she reassured reporters that she is “feeling great.”
Spotted shopping alone in Barcelona a week after their separation became public, Cristina smiled when approached by a Spanish journalist. Asked how she was, she responded, “Perfecta, gracias” (Perfect, thanks), before adding, “Everything’s fine” when asked about her well-being.
However, she chose not to comment on the reasons behind their split. There has been speculation that Guardiola’s decision to remain in Manchester and sign a two-year contract extension with his club may have played a role.
Cristina and Guardiola, who met in 1994 and married in 2014, are said to maintain a friendly and affectionate relationship. It’s understood their split wasn’t due to a third party.
