World number two Iga Swiatek extended her impressive winning streak at the 2025 Madrid Open to eight matches, defeating Linda Noskova 6-4, 6-2 to secure a spot in the last 16.

Swiatek, the defending champion and 2023 Madrid Open finalist, showcased her talent once again as she bounced back from a tough encounter in the previous round against teenager Alexandra Eala from the Philippines. Despite a challenging match, Swiatek appeared more fluent this time, wrapping up the victory in one hour and 17 minutes.

Swiatek’s Solid Performance Following Australian Open Defeat

The 23-year-old from Poland was particularly motivated after her 2024 Australian Open defeat to Noskova, and this win further solidifies her credentials as a top contender for this year’s title at the Madrid Open.
