Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark Set to Play Against Atlanta Dream Following Injury Scare

After an injury scare that had fans concerned, Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever is expected to return to action for their upcoming WNBA preseason matchup against the Atlanta Dream. The highly anticipated game, which takes place on Saturday, will be the last chance for the Fever to finalize preparations before their season opener against the Chicago Sky on May 17.

Clark had missed the Fever’s 79-74 victory over the Washington Mystics on May 3 due to a leg injury. However, the latest injury report issued by the Fever on Friday confirmed that Clark is no longer listed as injured, signaling her readiness for the game against the Dream.

The Indiana Fever star guard had previously played in an exhibition match against the Brazilian National Team on Sunday in Iowa City, where she showcased her skills despite the injury scare. Clark expressed confidence in her recovery, stating, “I feel really good, honestly, and I’m excited to get out there and play again tomorrow.”

With the Fever and the Dream meeting multiple times in the coming weeks, including a regular-season matchup on May 20 and a rematch in Atlanta on May 22, this preseason contest will give both teams an opportunity to fine-tune their strategies.

In addition to Clark’s return, the Fever will also face a challenge with the absence of Damiris Dantas, who is sidelined due to a left leg injury. Meanwhile, the Dream will be without Jordin Canada, who is dealing with a right leg injury.

Stay tuned as Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever prepare for an exciting WNBA season, starting with a matchup against the Chicago Sky next week.
