Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy will officially leave the club at the end of the 2024/25 season, marking the end of an unforgettable 13-year journey at the King Power Stadium.
In an emotional statement shared with fans, Vardy expressed his heartbreak over the decision but acknowledged that “the time is right” to move on from the club where he became a Premier League icon.
Signed from Fleetwood Town in 2012 for just £1 million, Vardy went on to become Leicester City’s all-time greatest player, according to the club. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the Foxes’ miraculous 2015/16 Premier League title win, and also lifted the FA Cup, Community Shield, and two Championship trophies.
Over nearly 500 appearances, Vardy has scored close to 200 goals, etching his name in Leicester history as the face of the club’s most successful era.
The 37-year-old striker will make his final home appearance for Leicester City on May 18 against Ipswich Town, offering fans one last chance to celebrate a true club legend.
