Julius Berger Nigeria Plc is on track to complete the ongoing N78 billion flyover and road expansion projects in Warri and Effurun, Delta State, by December 2025. The ambitious infrastructure initiative, awarded in October 2023, includes the construction of three major flyovers, a cloverleaf interchange, two pedestrian bridges, and the expansion of key road corridors in the twin cities.The Delta State Government awarded a N78 billion contract to Julius Berger for the construction of three flyover bridges, a cloverleaf interchange, pedestrian bridges, and the expansion of key road corridors in the Warri and Effurun metropolis. The project sites include the DSC Roundabout, Enerhen Junction to Marine Gate, and PTI Junction, all critical traffic nodes in the area.

Scope of the Projects

The comprehensive project encompasses:

  • A flyover bridge from Enerhen Junction to Marine Gate.

  • Expansion and improvement of the DSC/NPA Expressway, including the construction of a 3/4 cloverleaf interchange at the existing Effurun Flyover Bridge.

  • Flyover bridges at DSC Roundabout and PTI Junction.

  • Two pedestrian bridges to enhance safety and accessibility.

These developments aim to alleviate traffic congestion, improve mobility, and stimulate economic activities in the region.

As of April 2025, significant progress has been reported. At the DSC Flyover, all beams have been placed, and work on the access roads is on track for completion. Similarly, construction at Enerhen Junction and PTI Junction is advancing steadily, with pedestrian walkways provided and vehicle access temporarily restricted to ensure safety.
