Mourinho names EPL club he plans to join after leaving Fenerbahce

Fenerbahce manager José Mourinho has reportedly singled out Newcastle United as the ideal destination for his return to the Premier League, should current manager Eddie Howe depart the club. Mourinho, who has previously managed in England with Chelsea (on two occasions), Manchester United, and Tottenham, is eyeing a potential fifth stint in the Premier League.

The Portuguese coach, who has been increasingly discontented with his situation in Turkey, is closely watching the developments at St. James’ Park. According to The Guardian, Mourinho has reached out to intermediaries, requesting to stay updated on the latest behind-the-scenes activities at Newcastle.

Eddie Howe, who has been at the helm for three years, has yet to secure his long-term future with the club, despite his accomplishments, including guiding Newcastle back to European competition. However, Howe’s position is not guaranteed, and with the team currently sitting in 11th place in the Premier League, a long way from challenging for the Champions League spots, his tenure could be under scrutiny.

Mourinho’s interest in returning to England adds further intrigue to the situation at Newcastle, as the club seeks to return to its former glory. Should Howe’s tenure end, Mourinho could be the manager to lead them into a new chapter.
