TV fans are in uproar after NBC made the surprising decision to cancel five beloved shows, leaving many viewers heartbroken and confused. One of the most notable casualties was Suits LA, a spinoff of the iconic drama that starred Gabriel Macht, Patrick J. Adams, and Meghan Markle. This Stephen Amell-led series, which had high hopes for success, struggled to capture the magic of its predecessor and was cancelled after just one season.

Additionally, Found, a gripping series starring Shanola Hampton and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, followed the journey of a public relations expert working to solve the mysteries of missing persons while engaging in a dangerous cat-and-mouse game with her abductor. The show was canceled after two seasons, much to the dismay of its loyal fanbase.

Another casualty of NBC’s cancellation spree was The Irrational, starring Law & Order alum Jesse L. Martin. The procedural drama, revolving around a university professor who uses human behavior to crack complex cases, also met its end after just two seasons.

NBC’s decision also impacted Lopez vs. Lopez, a comedy starring George Lopez, and Night Court, a courtroom sitcom featuring Melissa Rauch. Both shows were canceled after three seasons, adding to the list of fan-favorite shows abruptly taken off the air.

These cancellations have sparked widespread outrage among fans who feel betrayed after investing in the characters and storylines. The online backlash has been swift, with many voicing their anger over the network’s decisions.

Fan Reactions:

  • “NBC canceled Found and now I’m angry,” one user posted on X (formerly Twitter).
  • “Wooowwww NBC! Really?! Y’all gonna cancel FOUND?” another user exclaimed.
  • “NBC canceled Found, Irrational, and Suits LA… all in one SWEEP! Jesus Christ!” another fan lamented.
  • “This is the cancellation that will hit me the hardest this year. I loved #FoundNBC so much and I need someone to save it.”

The outrage continued with fans questioning why NBC would cancel such high-quality shows in favor of other programming, like sports content. One particularly upset fan wrote, “NBC cancelling all their shows because of BASKETBALL? F— them, man. They’re on my sh—list with ABC now.”

The Bigger Picture:
NBC cited the need to make cuts due to limited time slots with the NBA season impacting its scheduling. Some fans are questioning the logic of canceling these fan-favorite dramas in favor of sports, especially with NBC having two networks at their disposal, NBC and Peacock.

NBC has recently renewed its popular One Chicago franchise, which includes Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, and Chicago Med—all produced by Dick Wolf. However, this renewal came with some caveats, leaving viewers wondering what the future holds for NBC’s programming decisions.
