Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Tiwa Savage, Nissi Ogulu, and Others Recognized at the 2025 Forbes Women Africa Awards

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Tiwa Savage, Nissi Ogulu, Hephzibah Akinwale, and Eniola Shokunbi were among the notable winners at the 10th Forbes Women Africa Awards, held during the Forbes Women Africa Leading Women Summit in South Africa. The event, themed “To The Power of 10: The Rule-Breakers In Africa’s Next Chapter,” celebrated women driving impactful change across various fields.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO), was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award. Tiwa Savage received the Media Icon Award for her contributions to entertainment and media, while Nissi Ogulu was recognized as the Youth Icon for her work as a musician and entrepreneur. Hephzibah Akinwale earned the Next Generation Award for her groundbreaking achievements as a young author, and Eniola Shokunbi was named Young Achiever for her advocacy in children’s health.

The summit coincided with International Women’s Day on March 8 and served as a platform to highlight the achievements of women shaping a more equitable world. Here is the full list of award winners:
