NiDCOM rescues 13 Nigerian girls trafficked from Ghana.

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has announced the successful rescue of thirteen Nigerian girls who had been trafficked to Ghana. This operation brings the total number of people repatriated to Nigeria within the past five months to 163.

In a statement issued by Abdur-Rahman Balogun, the Director of Media, Public Relations, and Protocols at NiDCOM, the agency provided details of the rescue mission. The statement revealed that the thirteen girls were among the 163 individuals who were returned to Nigeria, with the girls arriving over the weekend.

NiDCOM further explained that the successful rescue was the result of a well-coordinated operation involving multiple organizations. The Ghanaian Anti-Human Trafficking Police, The Rescue Live Foundation International, and the Nigeria in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) in Ghana worked together alongside NiDCOM to ensure the safe return of the trafficked girls.
