Niger Tornadoes’ technical adviser, Majin Mohammed, has praised his players for their resilience in securing a 2-1 victory over Kwara United.
The Ikon Allah Boys climbed up the league table after the win at the Bako Kontagaro Stadium, though they were forced to work hard against a determined Kwara United side.
Mohammed acknowledged the challenge posed by the hosts, saying, “I knew this match would be tough, given the history between these two teams over the past two seasons. Last season, both legs ended in draws, and we won the first leg this season in Ilorin. They came here hoping to get a result, but thank God we lived up to expectations and secured the three points.”
With the victory, Niger Tornadoes rose to seventh place in the standings, now with 30 points.
