Amazon MGM Studios Announces New 007 Producers

Amazon MGM Studios has revealed that Amy Pascal (Spider-Man: No Way Home) and David Heyman (Harry Potter franchise) will produce the next James Bond movie. This marks the first Bond film under Amazon’s creative control since acquiring the franchise’s parent studio in 2022.

Pascal, known for her work on the latest Spider-Man films starring Tom Holland, and Heyman, the producer behind all eight Harry Potter movies, are among Hollywood’s most accomplished filmmakers.

Amazon MGM Studios’ head of film, Courtenay Valenti, praised them as “two of the most respected producers in the industry.”

James Bond’s Legacy Continues

The announcement follows the February decision by Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson—longtime Bond franchise heads—to step down, passing the torch to Amazon MGM Studios.

Pascal and Heyman acknowledged the weight of their new roles:

“We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson, who made so many extraordinary films. We’re honored and excited to keep the spirit of Bond alive as he embarks on his next adventure.”

Amazon’s Jeff Bezos even fueled speculation about the next James Bond actor, asking his 6.8 million followers on X:

Who Will Be the Next James Bond?

While the studio has yet to announce a timeline for the new 007 film, speculation is growing over who will replace Daniel Craig, who bowed out after No Time to Die (2021). Current bookmaker favorites include:

• Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Bullet Train)

• Theo James (The White Lotus)

Pascal & Heyman’s Hollywood Power

Beyond Bond, Pascal and Heyman continue to shape major Hollywood productions. Pascal is currently working on Project Hail Mary, starring Ryan Gosling, set for release in March 2025. She also produced Challengers (Zendaya) and the Spider-Verse animated series.

Heyman, meanwhile, is developing the highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series and is in post-production on Taika Waititi’s adaptation of Klara and the Sun, starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams.

Together, the powerhouse duo is also producing Jay Kelly, a film starring George Clooney and Adam Sandler, directed by Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story).
