Stephen Curry Wins NBA's Teammate of the Year Award for 2025

Stephen Curry, the star of the Golden State Warriors, has been named the NBA Teammate of the Year, marking a significant achievement in his career. The prestigious award, given to players who exhibit selflessness and mentorship on and off the court, was announced by the NBA on Monday.

This is the first time Curry has received the Teammate of the Year award, despite his remarkable career filled with numerous accolades. Before Monday’s announcement, Curry was selected as one of the 12 finalists for the honor, joining the likes of Jalen Brunson, Donovan Mitchell, and Al Horford.

The Teammate of the Year award was introduced in the 2012-13 NBA season, with Chauncey Billups being the inaugural winner. Last season, Mike Conley took home the award, and he, along with Jrue Holiday, are the only two players to win the honor multiple times.

In addition to his leadership off the court, Curry had another standout season on the court, averaging 24.5 points and 6.0 assists per game. The Warriors finished the regular season with a 48-34 record, securing the No. 7 seed in the Western Conference. Currently, the team is battling the No. 2 seed Houston Rockets in a tight first-round playoff series, holding a 2-1 lead.

Curry’s dedication to his teammates and the game shines through in both his playing style and leadership, making him a deserving recipient of this year’s Teammate of the Year Award.
