The Nigerian Forest Security Service (NFSS) has appointed Saifullahi Muhammed, a native of Kano Municipal Local Government Area in Kano State, as the new Zonal Commander for the North West Zone, effective January 13, 2025.
The appointment was approved by the Commander General of the NFSS, Ambassador Osatimeh Joshua, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIG (Rtd) E. E. Amakulor, in line with Articles 5 and 6, Subsections A and B of the NFSS Constitution.
In his acceptance speech, Saifullahi Muhammed expressed deep appreciation for the confidence placed in him by the NFSS leadership. He pledged to strengthen the operations of the Council in the North West Zone and work tirelessly to enhance security in the region.
“It is a privilege to be entrusted with this responsibility. I am dedicated to improving the Nigerian Forest Security Service’s activities in the North West Zone and will collaborate closely with all relevant stakeholders to make Nigeria a safer and better place for everyone,” Muhammed stated.
Muhammed’s appointment adds him to a team of visionary leaders focused on tackling security challenges across Nigeria. His efforts will center on building strong partnerships with local communities, security agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen grassroots security initiatives.
