German police arrested three Chinese nationals on Wednesday in connection with the smuggling of prostitutes. The arrests followed a large-scale operation involving 150 officers, who carried out raids at a brothel, residences, and businesses in Hesse and Baden-Württemberg.
The public prosecutor’s office confirmed that the three suspects, also facing charges of tax evasion, were detained in Wiesbaden. The individuals, aged 29, 49, and 61, are accused of trafficking numerous Chinese women into Germany to work as prostitutes between February 2020 and December 2024, despite the women lacking the necessary residence permits.
Authorities believe the 61-year-old and 29-year-old operated the brothel, while the 49-year-old assisted in procuring clients.
