The Minnesota Timberwolves confirmed the ejection of one fan and are actively searching for another who allegedly made “racially charged comments” toward Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green during Thursday night’s playoff game. In a statement released Friday, the team said the fan accused of the racist remarks left the arena before being identified, though other spectators reportedly helped pinpoint the individual.
The confirmed ejection involved a separate fan who violated the NBA Fan Code of Conduct during a fourth-quarter incident with Green. Although details are limited, social media footage showed the Warriors star in a heated exchange with fans while using a stationary bike near the tunnel. The original video poster claimed a fan had used racial slurs.
Green did not speak about the fan conduct postgame but voiced broader frustration about his treatment by officials, saying he’s “sick of the agenda to make me look like the angry Black man” after receiving his fifth technical foul of the postseason.
The Timberwolves say the investigation is ongoing and pledged to uphold a “respectful and safe environment for all.”
