Social media critic VeryDarkMan has publicly called out Ubi Franklin, the manager of singer Davido’s wife, Chioma, over an alleged scam involving a business deal. In a video posted on his Instagram, VeryDarkMan accused Franklin of failing to honor a business agreement made with a man using Chioma’s name. He claimed that Franklin had taken N10 million from the individual in June 2024 but did not fulfill his side of the deal.

VeryDarkMan further shared audio recordings of conversations between Franklin and the man, in which the manager allegedly failed to repay the money. He gave Franklin a 72-hour ultimatum to repay the debt.

In his post, VeryDarkMan also revealed that he had previously reported Franklin to Davido, claiming that the manager had been using the singer’s name to scam people. He wrote, “@Davido I cannot understand how Ubi Franklin, a manager under 30BG, is out here scamming people. I have reported him to you before. Anyways, Ubi Franklin, you have till Tuesday to pay up.”
