“Zenith Bank Brings Holiday Cheer with Ajose Adeogun Street Light-Up”

Zenith Bank ushers in the festive season with its iconic Ajose Adeogun Street Light-Up in Victoria Island, Lagos, continuing its cherished tradition. On Saturday, 23 November 2024, the event was graced by the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, OON, who led the official light-up ceremony.

Now in its 18th year, this annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has transformed Ajose Adeogun Street and its roundabout, home to Zenith Bank’s headquarters, into a stunning Christmas wonderland. The decorations have become a major tourist attraction, drawing visitors from near and far to take in the festive beauty and capture memorable photos with loved ones.

Speaking at the event, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji highlighted the significance of the tradition, saying, “Over the years, Zenith Bank has turned Ajose Adeogun Street into a magical yuletide destination. Our elaborate Christmas displays have become a global sensation, shared widely on social media. Tonight, as we light up the street, we celebrate the true spirit of Christmas and Zenith Bank’s commitment to impactful CSR. Our customers remain the heart of everything we do.” She encouraged everyone to embrace the Christmas values of love, kindness, generosity, and respect for humanity, while also expressing gratitude to the Lagos State Government for supporting the initiative.

Dame Umeoji also commended Quantum Markets for their outstanding work in bringing the decorations to life each year, noting their creativity and consistent improvement. “Thank you to the Quantum Markets team for their innovation and dedication,” she said. “They make it bigger and better every year, and we eagerly anticipate what they will do next.”
