The Fourth Edition of the Zenith Bank Tech Fair, themed “Future Forward 4.0: Embedded Finance, Cybersecurity, Growth Imperatives – The Impact of AI,” is scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at the Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and promises to showcase cutting-edge technological innovations spanning areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Compliance, Financial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Communication Technologies.
This year’s Tech Fair will also feature a Start-up Pitch Competition, “Zecathon,” aimed at identifying and supporting innovative tech startups. Alongside this, the event will include engaging panel discussions, masterclasses, and exhibitions that highlight the latest advancements in the tech space.
The event will be officially opened with remarks from Jim Ovia, CFR, Founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank. Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, OON, Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, will deliver the welcome address. Notable dignitaries, including the Vice President of Nigeria, His Excellency, Sen. Kashim Shettima, and the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will also offer goodwill messages.
The keynote address, titled “Banking Transformation in a Digital World,” will be presented by Robin Speculand, a renowned expert in Strategy and Digital Implementation. In addition, several distinguished IT professionals representing top global companies will deliver presentations. Among them are Danillo McGarry, a Global Expert in Digital Transformation & AI; Jania Okwechime, Partner at Deloitte, specializing in AI & Data across Africa; and Rupert Nicolay, Director at Microsoft Worldwide Financial Services, among others.
The panel discussion, moderated by Wole Odeyele, Client Technology Lead for Microsoft Inc., will feature prominent figures such as Ada Jabaru, Founder & Director of Nistad Limited; Funke Opeke, Founder & CEO of MainOne; Guy Futi, CEO of Orda; Dr. Auwal Adam Sa’ad, Founder of ZamzamPay; Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director General of NITDA; and Engr. Bisoye Coker-Odusote, Director General/CEO of NIMC. These experts will discuss key issues and trends in technology, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
Additionally, the Tech Fair will host a series of masterclasses divided into seven different classes, led by industry leaders from global tech giants like Microsoft, Oracle, CyberSoc, IBM, Google, Huawei, and Amazon Web Services. These sessions will provide valuable insights and hands-on learning experiences for participants.
