“12-Hour Journey in Handcuffs” — Regina Daniels’ Brother Speaks on Arrest Linked to Ned Nwoko

Sammy West, the brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has spoken out about his recent arrest, which he linked to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, West recounted how he was handcuffed and transported by road to Abuja in what he described as a 12-hour journey. He contrasted his experience with that of Ann, a close friend of Regina Daniels, who he claimed was flown to Abuja in a private jet.

West shared his account while reacting to an incident that recently went viral on social media. A video circulating online captured the moment Sammy West and Ann were allegedly arrested at their residence, triggering widespread reactions and speculation.

Expressing frustration over what he described as unequal treatment, West questioned why he was treated differently despite being involved in the same case. Speaking in pidgin, he said, “Wetin man do man! Put me for 12 hours journey on handcuff and Ann dem use private jet transport am.”

According to him, the same procedure used during a previous arrest was repeated, as they were reportedly denied the opportunity to inform family members of their whereabouts.

West also provided an update on the legal matter, revealing that the case has been adjourned until March 5, 2026.

Following the incident, Regina Daniels publicly addressed the situation, alleging that her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, was responsible for the arrest. Her claim has further fueled online debates, with many social media users weighing in on the alleged involvement and the circumstances surrounding the arrests.
