5,000 Osun Households in 10 LGAs Benefit from Oyetola Initiative

No fewer than 5,000 households across 10 Local Government Areas in Osun State have received food hampers through the Ilerioluwa initiative, launched by the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, in celebration of Christmas 2025.

Sponsored by the Minister’s son, Femi Oyetola, the program targets vulnerable residents, the elderly, people with disabilities (PWDs), and orphanage homes, as well as members of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN). The distribution took place at the Tinubu/Shettima campaign office in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

Speaking to journalists, Femi Oyetola described this as the third edition of the initiative, aimed at spreading love and support to the community during the festive season. “This year, we are providing food hampers to 5,000 households across 10 local government areas in Osun Central,” he said.

Rev. John Adeleke, Osun State CAN chairman, praised the initiative, noting that it would help ease hunger among vulnerable groups during the holidays. Represented by Apostle Samson Opadotun, he encouraged affluent Nigerians to extend generosity to the needy, especially in challenging times.

Adewale Nafiu, APC leader for PWDs, confirmed that over 100 households of people with disabilities benefited from the program, highlighting its inclusive reach across political divides.
